Ways to Volunteer With Your Family

...

Now that we've gotten over being bombarded with reds, pinks, and hearts on Valentine's Day, I've been wondering how come a day that emphasizes showing love to each other doesn't really emphasize showing love to those that really need it?

Below is a list of family-friendly volunteer ideas year that you can do year round (which are also COVID-friendly😃). I hope we can continuously show love to those who need it not just on Valentine's Day ❤.

  • Make cards for sick children in hospitals (check out Cards for Hospitalized Kids and Seattle Childrens Hospital).

  • Make care packages for the homeless or the troops (consider Backpacks USA or make a Dignity Bag for the homeless).

  • Donate old toys and coats to your local shelter.

  • Send flowers to the elderly.

  • Send lunch to a healthcare worker (Panera Bread, Uber Eats, and most food delivery companies offer this option)

  • Make care packages for your kid's teachers and classmates

  • Donate canned goods to your local food pantry.

It's never too late or too early to make volunteering a family tradition. Do you have any other ways you've given back? Let me know by commenting below! Thanks for stopping by XOXO!
